A storefront takes out its licence
A retail or food licence is a till about to ring for the first time. Processing gets picked in the same few weeks as the signage and the point of sale.
In the week of August 17, 2026, the valley's licence files recorded 175 new licences to local addresses, read August 24.

Restaurants are the densest card-volume trade in the valley, and the processing decision is entangled with the point-of-sale choice made at opening. Arriving in opening month is the whole game.

A licence renews
Renewal week is the one week a year an owner reads the costs line by line, and the processing fees are on that page. The date is public well in advance.
In September 2026 alone, 2,004 valley licences come due, 58 of them restaurants, read August 28.
